PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The WAPX Series is a tough and durable exit sign that is both vandal proof and wet location rated. The body of the WAPX is made from rugged cast aluminum, while an impact resistant polycarbonate shield provides protection from the elements. The WAPX is powder coated in multiple finishes including white, black, and brushed aluminum. The exterior of the WAPX is coated to be corrosion-resistant. Suitable for top, side, and back mounting. Intelli-Charge Self-Testing Diagnostics are standard. Options include flasher, buzzer, and fire alarm interface options. UL 924 and Wet Location Listed.

CONSTRUCTION:

Clear polycarbonate wraparound cover with full neoprene perimeter gasket. Cast aluminum frame finished in baked-on powder paint providing scratch and corrosion resistance. White, black, gray and brushed finishes available for frame. Canopy is cast aluminum finished to match exit housing. Supplied with neoprene gaskets for sealing to housing and mounting surfaces.

ILLUMINATION:

Exit face illumination in both AC and emergency modes is provided by a special high intensity indirect red or green LED panel. Letter brightness and illumination uniformity exceed UL requirements in all models. LED lamp life is an average 25 years.

EXIT FACE:

Letter Size: 6” letters with 3/4” stroke
Directional Indicators: Infield applicable chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY:

Supplied with sealed Nickel Cadmium longest life maintenance free battery.

INSTALLATION:

All models are designed for mounting to standard 3 1/2” or 4” electrical boxes. Ceiling and end mount applications are provided for by means of mounting canopies supplied with all models. Neoprene gaskets are provided for sealing to mounting surfaces in all applications. Pendant mounting is also possible using optional pendant kits.
