PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

Cavity lit and direct view LED models featuring low profile installation in over door or floor proximity applications. Lightweight, heavy duty aluminum construction throughout. Incandescent AC-only and emergency models are also available in the same low profile installation and rugged aluminum construction.

CONSTRUCTION:

RWAX Series exits are constructed of heavy duty aluminum finished in white baked-on powder paint providing scratch and corrosion resistance. Optional black and black with silver stencil face finishes available. A separate galvanized steel recessed mounting box is provided with all models. A 1/4” thick polycarbonate front panel is provided on all models to protect the exit face and prevent tampering.

ILLUMINATION:

LED models: Exit face illumination is provided by a special high intensity indirect red or green LED panel. LED lamps have an estimated life of 25 years. AC Light models: Standard exit face illumination is provided by two candelabra base 15T6 120 volt, 15 watt incandescent AC lamps. Fluorescent lamp options provide a choice of one or two 5 watt PL style lamps. In emergency mode, illumination is provided by two 6 volt, 5.4 watt wedge base incandescent DC lamps. Incandescent AC lamps have an estimated life of 2,000 hours; incandescent emergency mode DC lamps estimated 100 hours, Fluorescent AC lamps estimated 10,000 hours lifespan. Letter brightness and illumination uniformity for all models exceed UL requirements.

EXIT FACE:

Letter Size: 6” letters with 3/4” stroke
Directional Indicators: Infield applicable chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY:

LED models use nickel cadmium maintenance free battery designed to provide many years of dependable service. Incandescent and fluorescent models use sealed pure lead maintenance free battery designed to provide many years of dependable service.

INSTALLATION:

Recessed Wall Mounting: The recessed mounting box is supplied with knockouts for attachment to standard 31/2” and 4” electrical boxes. The RWAX exit assembly installs into the recessed mounting box by means of screws.
