PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The H-WL Series LED Exit combines energy-saving LED technology with the added safety of an exit sign and emergency lighting. The H-WL’s rugged construction is ideal for use in NEC Class I & II areas. The H-WL exit sign features corrosion-resistant, gasketed enclosures and high output, wet location rating, and optional self-diagnostics.

CONSTRUCTION:

Impact resistant, industrial gray fiberglass reinforced polyester enclosure with stainless steel hardware is completely sealed and gasketed. The enclosure includes a clear polycarbonate cover. The lighting heads are constructed from impact resistant, UV stable, flame rated thermoplastic lamp housing and swivel assemblies in gray finish to match unit housing. Heads and swivels are sealed and gasketed. Lighting heads are fully adjustable and feature lockable swivels.

ILLUMINATION:

Exit face illumination is provided by a special high intensity direct-view red or green LED panel. Letter brightness and illumination uniformity exceed UL requirements. LED lamp life rated for an average 25 years.

EXIT FACE:

Letter Size: 6” letters with 3/4” stroke
Directional Indicators: Infield applicable chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY:

Sealed Lead Calcium maintenance free battery designed to provide many years of dependable service.

INSTALLATION:

Units are designed for installation to wall surfaces by means of internal knockouts or four external mounting feet provided with the enclosure. Wiring: A wiring hub is provided on the right hand side of the enclosure for attachment of surface wiring conduit.

Safety Circuitry: AC Lockout: Prevents battery discharge prior to initial unit power-up saving installation time.
Low Voltage Battery Disconnect: Protects the battery from being severely damaged by deep discharge during prolonged power failures. Short Circuit Protection: On units with solid state transfer, output protection is provided by a disconnect circuit that automatically resets itself when the fault condition is corrected. Brownout Protection: Automatically switches the unit to emergency mode when AC voltage sags below 80% of nominal.

All models meet NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NEC, OSHA, BOCA, state and local codes. Emergency models are UL924, 844 and 1604 Listed.
