PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The BLADE Series is a prime eco-friendly option for exit signs; constructed from 99% aluminum and completely non-electrical, the BLADE Series can be fully recycled at the end of its 25-year lifespan. The BLADE Series utilizes non-electrical photoluminescent or glow-in-the-dark technology, which illuminates the word EXIT with a surrounding face color choice of red, green, or black. The BLADE Series has a UL Listed 50 foot viewing distance. The BLADE Series is a great choice for new construction LEED projects and existing buildings that working toward LEED certification or need exit signs installed where there currently is no electricity. The cost to run electrical conduit is expensive, and the BLADE avoids this hassle while insuring fire and building code compliance. The BLADE eliminates the dependence on electricity for saftey signage. The BLADE comes standard with a black aluminum frame or flush mount low profile brushed aluminum frame. Installs in minutes with the surface mount hardware kit (included). Overall, the BLADE’s aluminum construction and non-electrical photoluminescent technology make it a superior exit sign choice for both high and low level applications.

CONSTRUCTION:

The BLADE exit sign face and frame are constructed of 99% recycled aluminum. Greentorch uses the highest grade industrial photoluminescent pigment.

ILLUMINATION:

Non-electrical photoluminescent glow-in-the-dark technology utilizes ambient lighting to charge and illuminates without dependence on electrical backup during an emergency. The BLADE features a 50 foot UL Listed viewing distance with minimal maintenance (occasional dusting) during its 25+ year life expectancy. Minimum 5 foot-candle (54 lux) external unfiltered light source (fluorescent, metal halide, or mercury vapor illumination, etc.) must be present on the sign face at all times of building occupancy.

Letter Size: 7” letters with 3/4” stroke
Directional Indicators: Infield applicable chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY:

No battery needed, the BLADE is completely non-electrical.
