PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The SLX Series Custom Self Luminous Exit Sign is an innovative non-electrical solution for exit signs. This model features a custom colored aluminum housing. The aluminum or stainless steel housing is stamped, tapped, folded, and welded. The welds are then ground to a smooth finish. The housing is then brought to a high-end finish. Then the housing is finished in a brushed, satin, polished, or matte style. Completely self luminous, SLX Tritium exit signs consume no electricity and illuminate continuously for 10 to 20 years, depending on the model. SLX signs require no wiring or maintenance and are suitable for ceiling level or low level applications. The mounting bracket is precision milled from barstock, extremely durable and designed with hidden screws for concealed mounting

CONSTRUCTION:

Custom SLX Series Exit Signs are constructed from aluminum and available in multiple custom finishes. The Custom SLX series comes with a choice of red, green, black, or white face color. The mounting bracket supplied with top or side mount Custom SLX models is constructed of aluminum.

ILLUMINATION:

Tritium gas tubes glow continuously without the need for external power for 10-20 years, depending on the model. Letter brightness meets UL requirements for self-luminous exit signs. 100 foot UL Listed viewing distance.

EXIT FACE:

Letter Size: 6” letters with 3/4” stroke

Directional Indicators: Infield applicable chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY:

The SLX is self-luminous and requires no battery, meaning much less maintenance over the service life of the product.

INSTALLATION:

Mounting: Single face models come standard for back mounting applications and can also be supplied with a top or end mount bracket for top/end mount installations. Double-sided models are always supplied with the top/end mount bracket.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

This sign is non-electrical and explosion-proof, therefore it can be used in wet-locations, dust, vaporous, and other areas where electrical units would require proper gasketing.

CODE COMPLIANCE:

Listed to UL 924 , NFPA Life Safety Code 101 , and British standard 5499 PT2. Meets NEC Article 500 , Class 1 , 11 , and 111 conditions.

PHOTOLUMINESCENT QUALITIES:

None, SLX Series Exit Signs do not utilize photoluminescent technology.
