PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The EL-1 is a sensible choice for emergency lighting; it is an affordable and efficient emergency lighting unit. The EL-1 combines a durable thermoplastic housing with a low profile silhouette and fully adjustable, glare-free lighting heads. Its unique mounting plate allows for fast and easy installation. The EL-1 is offered in white and black and comes with the option for remote capability. Hardwires 120/277v AC and comes with a maintenance free Nickel Cadmium battery backup.

CONSTRUCTION:

The ABS thermoplastic housing is impact resistant, UV stable, and flame retardant. Housing comes standard in a neutral cream finish and is also available in black. Lighting heads are fully adjustable and are also constructed of ABS thermoplastic; they feature incandescent PAR style lamps.

ILLUMINATION:

High output incandescent lamps and a specially designed refractory lens assembly provides glare-free light distribution.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY:

The EL-1 features a maintenance free, Sealed Lead Acid battery that provides a minimum 90 minutes of emergency operation. Recharge time of the battery is 24 hours. The maximum battery working temperature is 50 C or 122 F.

INSTALLATION:

Units may be wall or ceiling mounted. A universal mounting plate is provided for attachment to standard 3 1/2” and 4” electrical boxes. The unit simply plugs into installed mounting plate and is secured by built-in locking tabs. A plug-in connector with pigtail leads is provided as part of the universal mounting plate. All AC connections to the unit are made when the housing is plugged into the mounting plate.
