PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The DVR is a vandal resistant steel and polycarbonate a 6 to 12-volt indoor/outdoor emergency light. The DVR emergency lighting unit is ideal for use in areas where tampering or vandalism may occur. The DVR is perfect for commercial and institutional applications. Units connect with 120/277v AC power and feature Halogen lamps. Auto-test available. The DVR comes standard with white baked powder coat finish. 5 year, full replacement warranty excluding battery. Battery warranty is prorated over 5 years.

CONSTRUCTION:

Enclosure: Heavy gauge steel mounting plate is covered entirely by the unit’s impact resistant, UV stable polycarbonate lens. Unit lens is secured using tamper-proof screws.

ILLUMINATION:

High output halogen lamp(s) maximize illumination characteristics through a specially designed reflector and polycarbonate lens assembly that provides glare-free trapezoidal light distribution. Lamp Type: Halogen - Bi-pin Lamp Rating: 6 volt, 6 watts Lamp Life: 100 hours (expected average)

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY:

Standard Battery: Sealed lead calcium maintenance free battery designed to provide many years of dependable service. Optional Battery: Pure Lead extended life

INSTALLATION:

Mounting: Units are designed for installation to wall or ceiling surfaces as well as standard 31/2” and 4” utility boxes. Standard Wiring: Knockouts are provided in the enclosure backplate for connection to standard 31/2” and 4” utility boxes. Surface Wiring: An optional steel back box is available that provides knockouts on all four sides for the connection of surface conduit.

Brownout Protection: Automatically switches the unit to emergency mode when utility voltage is reduced to the point at which most fluorescent light fixtures would extinguish.
