PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The CLAS features classic design with rugged cast aluminum construction and LED lights that provide bright, even illumination to the made-to-order legend of this sign. Available with a sealed lead calcium battery or nickel cadmium battery for 90 minutes of emergency illumination. Damp location option and New York approved.

CONSTRUCTION:

CLAS Series custom signs are constructed from heavy die cast aluminum and supplied standard with a brushed stencil face and corrosion resistant black texture painted body. Mounting canopies supplied with all exits are constructed of heavy die cast aluminum and finished to match housing color. Optional finishes include all black and all white housing and stencil face.

ILLUMINATION:

Exit face illumination is provided by special high intensity indirect red or green LED lamps. LED lights are arranged to brightly and evenly illuminate any custom wording. LEDs need little maintenance and last an estimated average of 25 years.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY:

Offered with a sealed lead calcium maintenance free battery designed to provide many years of dependable service. Optional sealed nickel cadmium battery with the longest life and maintenance free.

INSTALLATION:

Wall Mounting: Single face models are supplied with knockouts in the exit housing’s back plate for attachment to wall surfaces and standard 3 1/2” and 4” electrical boxes. Ceiling/End Mounting: Mounting canopies are provided with all models for attachment to standard 3 1/2” and 4” electrical boxes in ceiling or end mount applications.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

Charger Type: CLAS emergency models with sealed lead calcium batteries utilize a fully automatic, temperature compensating, variable rate type charger. With the nickel cadmium option the exit sign utilizes a fully automatic, temperature compensating, constant current type charger.
Utility Input: 120/277VAC, 60 Hz.
Temperature Range: 68ºF to 86ºF or 20ºC to 30ºC Models supplied with damp location option operate from 50ºF to 104ºF or 10ºC to 40ºC

Safety Circuitry: AC Lockout: Prevents battery discharge prior to initial unit power-up saving installation time.
