PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The CA-DIF Series Cast Aluminum LED Exit Sign is a highly compact cast aluminum exit sign. The CA-DIF combines a sleek design with energy efficient, evenly illuminating LEDs. The CA-DIF is designed to be durable, affordable, attractive, and maintenance-free. The CA-DIF is manufactured from sturdy, die-cast aluminum and comes standard with a brushed aluminum face with black housing. Black and white aluminum faces are also available. The CA-DIF is supplied standard with one faceplate, a back plate, and mounting canopy; making the CA-DIF a truly universal die-cast exit sign. A double face option is available for an additional charge. The CA-DIF is illuminated by high-output LED technology, available in red or green. AC only and battery backup versions are available. The CA-DIF is damp location rated and UL Listed.

CONSTRUCTION:

The CA-DIF Series Cast Aluminum LED Exit Signs are constructed of heavy die-cast aluminum and supplied standard with a brushed aluminum faceplate, black housing, and a back plate. Mounting canopies supplied with the CA-DIF are constructed of heavy die-cast aluminum and finished to match housing color. Optional faceplate finishes include black and white.

ILLUMINATION:

The CA-DIF series is configured with high-output LED lamps. LED version is standard with 120/277v AC input. Energy efficient LED technology uses a maximum of 1.1 watts electricity for both green and red LEDs.

EXIT FACE:

Letter Size: 6” letters with 3/4” stroke
Directional Indicators: Infield applicable chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY:

Sealed Nickel Cadmium maintenance free battery designed to provide a minimum 90 minutes of emergency operation and many years of dependable service. Push-to-test LED status indicator is standard.

INSTALLATION:

Wall Mounting: Single face models are supplied with knockouts in the exit housing’s back plate for attachment to wall surfaces and standard 3 ½-inch and 4-inch electrical boxes.
Ceiling/End Mounting: Ceiling mount canopies are provided with all models for attachment by top or side.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

Charger Type: CA-DIF emergency models with sealed nickel cadmium batteries utilize a fully automatic, temperature compensating, variable rate type charger. With the nickel cadmium option the exit sign utilizes a fully automatic, temperature compensating, constant current type charger.

Temperature Range: 68ºF to 86ºF or 20ºC to 30ºC Models supplied with damp location option operate from 50ºF to 104ºF or 10ºC to 40ºC
